Roanoke, VA July 25, 2010: Southwestern Virginia Second Harvest Food Bank chose SiteVision to implement a back-end content management system (CMS) for their existing website.
Developed to enhance ease-of-use and extensibility, the new CMS utilized existing design and content while incorporating new templates, primary and secondary navigation, as well as user accounts to mange, edit and approve site content. The interface also incorporates a new current events feature. The Content Management System keeps track of all website content, and once properly implemented requires almost no technical skill or knowledge to manage.
Southwestern Virginia Second Harvest Food Bank serves 26 counties and 10 cities in SW Virginia, and since 1981 has provided millions of pounds of food and related product to approximately 340 partner agencies that serve more than 100,000 individuals in need of emergency food assistance every month.
