ArcGIS and Online Mapping

This is a fairly specific type of hosting need. GIS stands for Geographic Information System and essentially is an application delivered over the Internet and utilizes dynamic mapping to provide useful visual data to a specific user base.

SiteVision, Inc. offers our clients an alternative to large capital expenses for Internet Map Server and development software. In some cases, the client retains or owns the application code, but wishes to outsource the application hosting. SiteVision, Inc. has over 7 years experience in building, deploying and hosting Internet GIS applications and ESRI ArcIMS applications & GIS sites.

SiteVision, Inc. charges a monthly hosting fee, which distributes the large hardware and software costs over a group of clients. Our Map & GIS hosting and ArcIMS Hosting fee start at $450 per month (varies based on bandwidth usage, amount of data storage, and other factors) and a one time set-up fee. The monthly fee includes 1 hour of technical support for monthly updates of tabular and spatial data.

A small monthly hosting fee allows the client to enter into this GIS/ArcIMS technology without spending six digits on hardware and software infrastructure. This typically leaves more resources available for ArcIMS application development, enhancements, integration and training.

Our ArcIMS, Map and GIS hosting servers are dual Xeon processor machines with lots of RAM and RAID configured hard-drives. Additionally, we back up all ArcIMS sites and data to tape nightly and retain the back-ups for 14 days. The servers are on conditioned UPS power systems as well as long-term generator power systems. Our server facility has multi-homed bandwidth (2 providers). We have ArcIMS developers and technicians on site to help with all your ArcIMS and GIS application development and hosting questions.
